Review: Orange T-Shirt (Super)

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Today we look at the Orange T-Shirt.

A great edition to any casual wardrobe this simple T can be worn as is or embellished to suit your dolls tastes.

It closes with a Velcro strip down the back for ease of dressing and has a nice loose relaxed fit. The pictured doll is an Elfdoll Rainy Doll girl with the older large bust three part torso.

These t-shirts come in Pink, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple and Grey so you can match them to your dolls tastes.

A cute wardrobe staple.

Review: Gold Ankle Strapped Shoes (Super)

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Today we look at the Gold Ankle Strapped Shoes.

These are great little heels that are available in many different colours. We had the gold in stock recently. Simple in design, a low heeled court shoe, these shoes can be worn one of three ways. They come with two lengths of ankle strap, so they can be worn as a slip on shoe, with an ankle strap, or the longer strap can be used and wrapped around the ankle for a crossover effect.

The straps have buckles for a realistic look, but do not need to be unbuckled to be put on and taken off. The addition of a small hook on the strap which tucks behind the buckle makes this all easier.

These shoes suit a variety of looks, but if gold isn’t your dolls style you can chose from White, Black, Red, Hot Pink, Light Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue and Silver.

There’s something to suit everyone!

Review: Black and White Pom-Pom Boots (Super)

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

On the 29th of July we reviewed the White Pom-Pom Boots but today we look at the Black and White version.

Much the same in all respects as their white counterparts the Black and White version has a more striking appearance due to the colour contrast.

Please see the review of the White Pom-Pom Boots for information on fit.

Review: Black Mix and Match Boots (Super)

Monday, October 19th, 2009

I took a lot of pictures of theBlack Mix and Match Boots so you can see all the components.

Made from 5 distinct parts these boots can be arranged in various ways depending on the outfit you like them to be worn with.

The set starts with a basic short boot that you can build the pieces around. To that you can add a stirrup that goes over the foot. (see this set of pics)

To this basic boot you can add an upper section. This piece laces up the back (laces not pictured) and in that way ties around the leg a little like a shin guard, giving the impression of a knee high boot. To this upper section you can add 2 other pieces to give it a belted look. I did not put them on a doll, but you can see these pieces here flat.

These boots are especially good for people with little space to store multiple pairs of doll shoes as their modular design gives you the ability to have several boots in one. They come in blue and black.

A truly versatile choice.

Review: Gold Collar Suit (Tall)

Friday, October 16th, 2009

A while back we had the Gold Collared Suit in stock.

The suit has 5 pieces and is fitted to the Tall guys. So fitted that Dollisles checked with me the brand of doll that would wear it in order to get the appropriate fit!

The 5 parts of this outfit include:
A Jacket made from black satin and a purple patterned brocade with a gold satin lapels. The jacket is fully lined and cut with tails. I was really interested to see this jacket to see how the brocade was used as it wasn’t clear in the sales pics. It’s a really interesting use of fabrics that is quite effective.
Pants made from black satin. They do up with a silver button and you might not be able to see in my crappy photo but there are belt loops also. These would look great with other outfits as well.
A Shirt of white cotton with solid and translucent stripes. Down the front of the shirt are ruffles and it does up with buttons. The cuffs also are buttoned and have a ruffle. Also a great piece to wear in other combinations.
The Jacket Chain is a decorative element. The Jacket itself has no closures, but hangs fairly closed. The chain attaches to either side of the front to close the garment. The clips feature a coat of arms and are linked together by gold tone chain.
The Cravat is a piece of lace with gold tone flowers. It is bordered with a brocade trim and accented with pearl beads.

This is a great set that can provide a few different looks, but it suits best a gothic or olde world look best.

A great suit worth recommending.

Review: Blue Sandals (Super)

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

We have a pair of the Super sized Blue Sandals currently in stock.

This cute little pair of sandals comes in a metallic blue with rhinestones across the foot.

These are really cute shoes, suitable for someone a little girly that likes a bit of sparkle to her footwear. More a daywear shoe (as they are flats) these shoes would be perfect with a glamorous beach or poolside outfit.

I was a little surprised when these sandals arrived as I’d ordered the Mini sized pair, but as you can see in the pic they fit my Super sized girl. I contacted Dollisles straight away and they happily sent the correct pair straight to the client.

Ordering: 16th of October

Just a quick note to let you know my next order is going in on the 16th :) that’s this Friday.
