Smash! Dollfie Photography Contest

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

This year Red Lion is a proud sponsor of the Smash! Dollfie Photography Contest.

You don’t need to be attending the event to enter. This years theme is Sky. I love that as a theme concept as, well the sky is present to all of us in our daily lives (even when when are working in windowless offices we are often dreaming of it in some form!).

Please swing by their website to check out the details and consider entering.

First and second prizes are by Red Lion (vouchers) and third from Ningyotan BJD Australia.

Review: White Pom-Pom Boots (Super)

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Today we’re reviewing the White Pom-Pom Boots.

We’ve had both the Super and Mini size in there at the office but the photos are of the Super size boots.

The boots are really cute and well made. They are made from faux fur and faux suede with small acrylic pom-poms hanging from nylon cord. They have a zip at the rear that makes it really easy to get these on and off.

I tried them with my 60 cm Super sized dolls, here are some pics of their feet with the boots.

Firstly at left is an Elfdoll Rainy Girl foot (though the rainy guy foot is the same size). The foot is 7cms long and 2.5cms at its widest point. The boot is perfect for this size of foot. There is enough room round the foot for a sock but the boots are not loose so standing is not affected.

Secondly in the middle is a Domuya Flexi-Perennial Girl foot. The foot is 7.5cms long and 2.7cms at its widest point. The boot works for this size of foot, but it is tighter from toe to heal. Care should be taken when zipping up, although this is not difficult to do. Socks would not work with this foot.

Thirdly at the right is a DOD DOT male foot. The foot is 7.5cms long and 3.5cms at its widest point. Sadly the foot is a little large for the boot. It could probably be forced on and stretched a little to size, but I was not willing to try this with a stock item.

These are very cute shoes. They come in most sizes, from the small Cutie sized child doll like Yo-SD through to the large Super SD sized dolls though colour ways vary in each size. I do love the sassy pom-poms teamed with the fur. They suit trendy, fashion forward type personalities, or period dolls set in the 70s era.

A very sweet and flirty boot.

New Product: Outback Rebel Boots.

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

Dollisles have a new boot available that I’ve added to the site we’re calling these one Outback Rebel Boots.

(Ok mostly because most of the other possible identifiers like studs, chains and lacing are already used a lot across the site. ;) )

They are available in both brown and black in the Super size and brown and black in the Mini size.

I’m hoping to have a pair on hand to reveiw soon. I’ve priced them at the intoductory rate of $25. They will remain at that price for a month then will go up to the full price.

Please let me know if you ever think of a cool name for an item. If I use the name there may be a prize in it for you!

News Update

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

Just a few quick points to update. :)

A parcel will be arriving in the next few days, in it should be most of the backorders and items that were being manufactured for us.

I hope to add eyes this week.

An error was found in the sidebar menu and has now been corrected. Sorry for the inconvenience.

All pricing has been updated.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Pricing

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

As stated in the first post on this site now that a few orders have gone through I’ve re-evaluated the pricing.

Prices will be going up, but with that I can offer other benefits. Long term it should mean I can start keeping goods in stock, reduced chance of stock being back ordered and offer layaway and other benefits. In the short term everyone that has ordered so far will receive a discount voucher as thanks for their support.

I will start adding the new prices to the site over the next two weeks, when you look at an item you will see a ’sale’ price which is the current price, and the price it will be once the ’sale’ ends.

Prices will go up on the 15th of July so please try to get the order in before then if you wish to take advantage of the lower price.

The next order will be placed on the 18th of July.

I have been informed that the order placed on the 27th will take 3 weeks to ship, as some items are being manufactured for us.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
